Futuristic High: Dubai

This post features photography from a trip that’s now on my bucket list. I have to admit I did not know much about Dubai, however, since taking this virtual trip I have encouraged students to look to what Dubai is doing when planning their own Future City projects.

I hope you enjoy this photographic tour as much as I have. Thanks to Facebook friend, Jorge Leonardo for generously sharing his trip. From March of 2017, the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai as photographed by Jorge Leonardo. Dubai literally rose out of the desert into one of the most futuristic destinations.

The interior of this hotel is stunning!

Travel Is Good for Your Heart.

While not traveling, I like to follow my friends and acquaintances' friends, and ... anyone who is traveling! Recently, I was able to travel to southeast Asia via the Facebook posts of JP Gomez. JP lives and works in Sedona Arizona. He creates contemporary one of a kind carved inlaid style native flutes. The craftsmanship of his flutes is appreciated by award-winning musicians around the world. Please take a moment to visit his website and leave him a message of appreciation for sharing this wonderful journey.

Below are posts from JP's Facebook feed of his travels along with his comments. I did not want to go too in-depth with showing all of the photos here. I selected a few striking images. The photography is outstanding, video and 360 shots as well, this compliments JP's awake and present commentary.

                  Enjoy!
